Witch's Hat Brownies
- 2 (16 piece) containers of prebaked muffin brownies
- 1 bag of candy corn
- 1 bag of Hershey kisses
- 1 container of orange icing (or if you have time, make your own)
It's simple really.
Unwrap all the Hershey kisses that you will need, plus a few extra to munch on. If you have 32 brownies, take 16 candy corn and cut off the yellow part. And divide those yellows in half, giving you 32 "buckles".
Now take the frosting, put a dime size on the bottom of the flat side of the Hershey kiss. Put the Hershey kiss on the top of the brownie and smoosh it down so that frosting appears on the bottom edge of the kiss. Make sure to leave some frosting between the kiss and the brownie for a "glue" like substance.
Before the frosting hardens, gently press a piece of the yellow candy corn into the frosting - giving it the appearance of a "buckle".
If you want to promise safety delivery of the Witch's Hat brownies to your party, I went a step farther (also because I had more icing) and put a dime size amount of the same icing on the bottom of the brownie. I glently pressed them in the dish I was going to serve them. The additional frosting adheres the brownie to the platter so it doesn't slip and destroy your creative artwork.
Now if you have gaps in your dish, I also filled the open area of the dish with the extra candy corn. Leaving a handful left in the bag for Justin to enjoy. :)
Happy Halloween!
