Chicken & Cheese Casserole



  • half a loaf of bread
  • 1 lbs of chicken breast
  • 2 cans of cream of mushroom
  • 1 stick of butter
  • small or large size block of cheese (depends how much you love cheese)
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Preheat oven to 350°F. 

Grab an 8x8 baking dish (or you can use up to an 9x13- buy more meat if you go bigger), spray the dish with cooking spray.  Place the chicken breast on the bottom of the dish. I usually filet my chicken breast and then spread them so that the chicken completely covers the bottom of the dish.  Salt and pepper the chicken. 

Cut the bread up into 1 inch pieces. Put them in a large mixing bowl.  Melt the stick of butter in the microwave.  Pour the butter over the bread and stir it gently to spread the butter.  

Slice the cheese (or cut it into cubes) up to you. 

This is where you choose your destiny...

1. Place the cheese over the chicken. Mix the cream of mushroom in with the bread.  Layer the bread on top of the cheese.  Bake for 1 hour. 

2. Mix the cheese and cream of mushroom into the bread mixture.  Layer the bread on top of the cheese. Bake for 1 hour.

3. Place the cheese over the chicken and then spread the cream of mushroom on top of the cheese.  Layer the bread on top of the cream of mushroom.  Bake for 1 hour. 

Let it sit for 5 - 10 minutes because it will be hot. Enjoy!
